Halloween Party 2013

Welcome to my Halloween Party of 2013
A very special Thank You goes out to

She is one amazing hostess.
Please check her left side bar for more amazing parties. You will be able to blog hop from there.

I know you will enjoy my view of Halloween

I wish everyday could be Halloween.
We could all wear masks all the time.
Of calling shapes, and beck'ning shadows dire, and airy tongues that syllable men's names.

Grab a key and unlock the portals of your imagination.

There is nothing in the dark that isn't there when the lights are on.

The farther we've gotten from the magic and mystery of our past, the more we've come to need Halloween.
Tis now the very witching time of night.

Open the book to the spells that bring forth the oldest and strongest emotions of mankind.
For on all Hollow's Eve will the spirits come to play to satisfy their endless roaming.
The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear.
All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.

Where there is no imagination there is no terror.
Oh how the candles will be lit and the wood of worm burn in a fiery dust.
They that are born on Halloween shall see more than other folk.

Colors of Michigan

Can't forget about the mushrooms. Because of the season changing, the ground is acidic.

Such an amazing array of color this year.
The sky adds such contrast, and makes the colors stand out more.

All of these photos were taken within a mile from my house.

The leaves are starting to drop off the trees and soon everyone will be raking them into piles. Not my favorite fall thing to do!

Before I go down the road, I must say that Michigan is past peak and soon the weather will change again... Look out! Winter will be upon us soon. Get your coats, boots, hats and mittens out.
I hope that you enjoyed the tour.

One Misty Morning...

I woke up this morning and saw this on the right side of my house.
This scene was on the left side.

It didn't last very long but I am glad that I caught the moment.
